Korean Flower
Different countries around the world symbolize their unity, culture, and heritage in the form of maps, colors, statues and even selection of songs as well as flowers. Certain countries also symbolize the existence and presence of the people through selection of certain animals and natural habitats. the Rose of Sharon. This specific type of rose blooms during the months of June all the way to the end of October. Its flagrant colors and unique dimensions of petals create an ambience of peace and tranquility. Not only is this particular Rose an enjoyable sight to look at but is also abundant in nature. During this particular season months, the Rose of Sharon graces the entire country with its fragrance and color. Very unlike many of the flowers belonging to the rose family, this particular rose is remarkably tenacious and has the capability of withstanding insects as well as blights. The Korean flower stands stiff in the face of extreme weather.
According to history, the Korean government chose this specific flower due to its meaning. The symbolic significance originates from the root word
Mugung, which means immortality in Korean. And immortality seems to be an accurate reflection of the dedication, focus, commitment, perseverance of the people of Korea. The entire history of Korea delineates eras of people who have toiled the earth to create a prosperous country and take ownership of the elements of justice, free will, democracy and meaning.
As one travels along the roads, Mugunghwa is scattered among the landscape. People also use the seeds of Mugunghwa to cultivate flower beds in their gardens and walkways. The Korean national flower has brought forth meaning and motivation to the people. A recent example of the impact that this Korean flower has over the country can be understood by the announcement made by the National Horticultural Research Institute. The organization finally allowed the Korean national flower to blossom on the banks of Dokdo islets. That particular area has been disputed area between Korea and Japan and has caused extensive tensions among the two nations. Now the Korean flower is seen talking to the windy area of Dokdo.
The Korean flower is also use by different agencies and cultural institutions that proclaim determination and persistence in the overall objectives and milestones.
