Different countries around the world symbolize their unity, culture, and heritage in the form of maps, colors, statues and even selection of songs as well as flowers. Mugung, which means immortality in Korean. And immortality seems to be an accurate reflection of the dedication, focus, commitment, perseverance of the people of Korea. The entire history of Korea delineates eras of people who have toiled the earth to create a prosperous country and take ownership of the elements of justice, free will, democracy and meaning.

A recent example of the impact that this Korean flower has over the country can be understood by the announcement made by the National Horticultural Research Institute. The organization finally allowed the Korean national flower to blossom on the banks of Dokdo islets. That particular area has been disputed area between Korea and Japan and has caused extensive tensions among the two nations. Now the Korean flower is seen talking to the windy area of Dokdo.
